itz me !! part -1

Disclaimer: - This bunch of words is what I feel. I don’t expect other to understand it. Or as I said in my previous post, I don’t give a crap.

It has been 1 and a half year since I started blogging. I remember the first day when I wrote my first post. I accept it was a piece of shit. But I was so excited (yah ! yah !!) that I send the link of my blog to my first yr friends. Hoping few words of appreciation (Ankit u ass!!). Well after reading the comments … I quit blogging. They were rite … I suck at English.

Well!! When I came to the institute, I landed in group 6 after the English test. I wanted to improve my language skills some how. I heard from people that writing improve your command on language then reading. And any ways, I was never friends with books. So thought of blogging, but idea dabbe main.

Hmm... well then!! till second year second sem I didn’t try to type blogger.com in my address bar!! But I use to check IIIT Blogroll daily. Till this time I didn’t think bout of blogging again, till Raghuram asked me to start writing. Few days after, I ultimately wrote a post but to be on a safer side that post consist of only pics, added my self to IIIT’s blogroll (yhee !!). And to my surprise, I actually got some positive comment. (Actually they were non-negative :D).

Any ways, that build my confidence and I wrote another post, this time in hindi (no need to mention why ?) :D. Well!! People were reading my posts and few where kind enough to leave their mark. Then I wrote a post in English (exactly after 1 year of my first post.). Well!! No comments this time, but the good thing is no comments (i.e. no negative comments)

Once I wrote a post on the formula for calculation of job package. It was buzzed in IIIT blogroll. It may not seem like a big achievement, but it was, for me at least.

Then, I wrote so many posts on various topics. Most of my posts were witty and sarcastic and some alag hatke. But was never dare enough to write bout my self, the part people don’t know. The part I usually don’t discuss with others.

Read posts of many guys who discuss what ever they feel, so honestly and openly. Since I m so close to my 50^th post, I thought even I should.(Going to leave blogger,com after that)

PS:-

• I m not blaming any one, just doing Airtel (Express myself!!).

not bout felicity but ..... kalak...... !!

Yah !! Yet another post on felicity. you guys must be bored… who care any ways :D !! I’ll continue ……

One important part of cultural events has been completely ignored by the blogger. I can’t blame them, they weren’t involved in it. So being a blogger and one of the organizers of Kalakshetra, it is my moral responsibility to let people know bout it.

This time we decided….

By we I ment (Akash , Abhay , Yashlakshmi , Geetika , Bajpai , Chauhan , Swati , Sheetal n your’s truly me :) )

Yah !! so, we decided that, we are not going to have same old matkas and gamlas. Theme we decided was Hyderabad (hope we were successful in depicting).

After lots n lots of brain storming sessions, we came up with and idea to get a charminar, the darbar look, pehredars, kites, organizers dressed up in typical hyderabadi istyle… etc etc

Well some of the ideas were dropped, and rest some of you must have seen at the Kalakshetra ground.

Kalakshetra had all in all 7 events…

1. bold strokes (sketching)
2. Ad-campaign (poster making)
3. Rangbhoomi (rangoli)
4. Ctrl-X Ctrl-V (collage)
5. Graffiti (its in the name)
6. Reflectionz (face painting)
7. you think it, I ink it (tattoo making)

Graffiti was one of the most hyped events of felicity, and I guess it was the costliest event in its prize range.

Getting the spray cans was a Herculean task. After searching in Hyderabad, we even tried in other cities including delhi, Mumbai , banglore. There was a time that we were even thinking of canceling the event. But thanks to akash n abay they some how managed to get the spray cans, they also met an accident, any ways, all the stuff for Kalakshetra were bought by them.

Getting charminar build wasn’t a cup of cake. With Mr. Vasudaven help, we came in contact with a guy (Mr. prasaad ) from HCU. Who was going to build the charminar for us, initially geetika was handling that. But after she left for her home, I took the charge… Man !! getting work done from those guys…

Any ways some how charminar got completed little late …: D but work was done.

Then event started according to IST (Indian standard time (1hr late)).. But we got awesome response. We had 40 working benches and almost all were occupied. In some events like collage making and graffiti we even had to stop the registration because of limited resources.

Now time to mention some name who helped us to make the event success…

PS… One of the longest posts of mine.

PS… Writing after so many days, have been busy with stuff … you know.

PS… After a lot of hardship my dream to perform on felicity stage came true.

PS… One suggestion for others, never organize a group dance event, just be a part of it.

PS… Wanted to write more, but got to finish 3 assignments and 2 projects :(.

Life n stuff ….

This post is about Life which is actually the life mailing list, and the stuff m talking bout is my bicycle…

I m writing this post coz m really really pissed off. The reasons…

1. Have to sell my brand new bicycle.

2. 4 day are over still my mail to life is not been delivered.

3. Midsems just before felicity !!

4. And some random blah blah reasons…

Well now, I don’t I have any other option then spamming the ug n pg mail boxes.

Anyways, it might sound little … , but if any one is interested in buying my bicycle plz post a comment to this post :) .

It costs me around 3K .. but m ready to give it for say aroung 2.5 K or some thing ..

Shows my desperation haan !! well, m about to get a better two wheeler in exchange \:D/ .. !!

Decision done !!

I had to make a decision, after a long brain storming session I finally made one. It was tough though, but in the fight of music and health, health won. Yah !! I bought a Bicycle.

Hope I’ll stick to my daily cycling routine.

PS :-

• Finally my passport form has been accepted; hope no more problems are stacked.
• Drove Bicycle all the way from koti to institute, not legs but butt is paining.
• Have to submit CN assignment on 1^st Feb, Don’t even know the a,b,c of socket programming…
• Don’t have much time to write, got to complete the presentation for BTP.

Reality show, are they actually real!!

Every TV channel is flooded with various Reality shows, the new raah of sucking money out of customers. which is also the name of a reality show. I guess the saas bahu stuff is loosing it magnetic strength of attraction human beings towards the idiot Box. The theme of these shows is same, cashing the emotions weather its real or mere acting. If there are “normal human beings” then it’s good and if there are celebrities then, awesome. Recently I saw one series, some Big Boss or some thing. Bahhh !! same funda of saas bahu type. What reality, I bet they are acting. Same conspiracies, making teams n same old family drama stuff. I was surprised to see people desperately waiting for its telecast every day on the other hand they say they hate all those Saas Bahu melodrama. Ironically, these types of serials are at the top of charts and making hell lot of money.

Bahh!! I m bad at this essay type writing. Well! My mentor suggested me to start writing something in “Proper English”. Some thing, with minimum wit and humor. Anyways, this is my first try. I know normally people write pages, then just a mere paragraph. But … what the hell …

Yesterday, i noticed that I have been using "What the Hell" a lot in my blogs. Actually these three simple words are very versatile. U can use them where ever u doesn’t want to give a reason. :D !!

Present status :-

· Just added another post to the collection of my “random rambling” posts.

· Becoming addicted to Hyderabadi language … using bahhh and kehte , jaate… a lot .

· Just one mid sem this time … yhipee !!

proposed placement policy -2008 !!

This year’s placement is going pretty well, most of the guys have got their dream job. This time IIIT may cross 5 lac average … who knows!!

While going through new placement website, I came across this page , which states …..

Future Initiatives

Listed below are some of the proposed initiatives for the placement season 2008:

• Post academic year placement season
• Common Placement Test (CPT)
• 10-to-15-day placement season (a very brief placement season, unlike in current and past years)
• Mini career fairs each day (= this means around 10 employers each day)
• There would not be dream and non dream classification of recruiters; all recruiters would be treated on par
• Students would be allowed two offers each

This is the topic our batch has been talking bout past few weeks.

Well !! here is my analysis of the proposed policy ... after all its going to decide our future ...

· Post academic year placement season

Merit: - may reduce the competitor, specially, who got selected in CAT n MS some where …

Demerit: - Don’t leave much time for off campus if one didn’t get his dream job.

Also may result in loss of 1-2 month pay

• Common Placement Test (CPT)

Merit: - May reduce the number of exams a student has to go through.

Demerits: - there is a proverb in hindi – “har din diwali nahi hoti” , i.e. every day can’t be yours, if under some circumstances a person couldn’t perform well that day … his future is ruined.

Also, the syllabus n all is very different not only of ECE n CSE.. But of VLSI, Communication, CVIT, DBMS n all … if there will be a separate test for each of this stream then what if one wish to sit for the company of other stream …. Or does one have to give all the exams …

• 10-to-15-day placement season (a very brief placement season, unlike in current and past years)
• Mini career fairs each day (= this means around 10 employers each day)

Merit: - 45 days tension is reduced to 15 days...

Demerit: - During the 45 day session, at max 10-15 days a company come for a guy of a particular stream. So his tension is of maximum 10-15 days.

Once the interview is over his tension is over. But if we shrink it to 15 days then he’ll be stressed for the whole day may be... Or if each day has one company then, we had come back to the same figure of 15 days...

If all of this is about reducing the stress a student go through. Then what bout the tension he’ll have till the placement session starts … when all of his friends have got placed at other institutes, while he is still waiting for his ….

• There would not be dream and non dream classification of recruiters; all recruiters would be treated on par
• Students would be allowed two offers each

Merit: - I didn’t find any advantage in it.

Demerit: - well!! Previous rule was, one person can take 1 dream job and one 1 normal one...

Now suppose a guy has already got a dream job, n he managed to get another. Now, this has reduced the opportunity for other to get that dream job… and hence he has to satisfy him self with a normal one...

And I am sure that there is 100% possibility of happening this… All in all ……… for an average student …

Well this analysis is solely based on my knowledge, and only the provided article, I don’t know if there is further modification to it, correct me if I m wrong any where …

This is the 11^th one, founded on july-04. Actually I started believing since my close buddy, survived 5 semesters with out buying any book. Strange haan!! But most strange thing is, he phoded almost all the subjects.

But 3 day before he did some thing, I am ashamed to talk bout. He bought a book. You know!! Actually buying!! Paying for it in cash …

So this is to declare that he will be counted out of the community …

Now u’ll might think y m I telling this useless story to you ..

This is called an awesome night.

Date :- 8/10/2006 time:- 11:00 PM
Well it all starts with a wake up call from chauhan. He commanded me to cancel my dinner (it was canceled though)

So, cutting long story short we went to pizza hut. I had great time n 10 pieces of pizza , thanks to our sponsors turbo , harry n saini.

Ya! I forgot to mention one thing, saw one of my frnd’s … there with some other guy. Ch ch ch poor man …. (not my frnd the other guy :p)

Some of our seniors were also there … I mean the first year alumni. Well they were enjoying with there old buddies so, we chose not to interrupt.

They are Office dudes now. But one thing I noticed that some of them have put on weight. I mean they were looking healthy as compared to how they were at IIIT.

What does this implies?

@nks theory says:- IIIT suck you blood more then the boss of you company.

He he he !!Hey, I got distracted from the main path.

So, what I was saying … ya !! well, we had dinner. Akash, reminded us about the dandiya n garba thing.

We thought, actually me n akash though that we’ll finish this fast and then will leave to IIIT.

But, reverse happned … :(

We managed to reach IIIT at 10:30 PM. Guys n gals were dancing on some panjabi number.

And some thing worse happned , I was there standing under the basket holding my stomach n cursing my self for having 1 extra piece.

But even pain couldn’t prevent me from dancing when I saw dancing divas with dandiyas.

Last line went little too mendaciously.

Actually my ache was temporary, n vanished after some time.

So, me n akash entered the crowed, n started throwing our hand n lags in random direction.

But the best part came at the end, when I played dandiya.

This is the place where I should mention that ….

I m very thankful to Sugandh n his team for organizing dandiya and garaba night. It was awesome…

And thanks to pinky for teaching me some steps. :)

And in the final concentric-bi-circular dance, I got chance to dance with my dream …… :-“>.

Don’t ask me who is she…… !! keep guessing though :p !!

Is there anything left to mention ... i don't any one would have read it till here ...
